Google’s Women Techmakers

Google’s Women Techmakers program creates visibility, community and resources for women in technology by hosting events, offering trainings and piloting new initiatives with different groups and partners from the global tech ecosystem. Our Ambassadors are passionate leaders in their community who are dedicated to driving innovation, as well as women and gender-minority participation in the technology industry.

Cloud Technical Residency (CTR)

The CTR is a one-year rotational program in Google’s fastest growing business—Google Cloud. It provides you with broad experience as you rotate through technical and customer-facing roles. You'll also gain exposure to the whole customer lifecycle—sales, services, and support.

Google Developer Groups

The Google Developer Groups program gives developers the opportunity to meet local developers with similar interests in technology. A GDG meetup event includes talks on a wide range of technical topics where you can learn new skills through hands-on workshops. This featured codelab for IWD 2020 introduces you to building Actions for the Assistant. Actions on Google is a developer platform that lets you create software to extend the functionality of the Assistant. You do not need to have any prior experience.

Codelab

This featured codelab for IWD 2020 builds on what you learned in Level 1. In this codelab, you create a sophisticated conversational Action with multiple features. Your Action fetches the user's name to address the user personally. It asks follow-up questions to keep the conversation moving. It uses rich visuals and sound effects. And, it supports deep links that launch at key moments in the conversation.
